Even though my illustrations were for mockup purposes and not for the final app, I still wanted to add detail and color, to bring them to life – just for fun!

Skyscrapers by Tinybop is an app that allows kids to explore the inner workings of a building. By testing the limits of different structural elements, from elevators and sprinkler systems, to the frame and foundation, kids can see what it takes to make a skyscraper work. Beyond leading Technical Art on this project, I was also tasked with exploring how we could elude to the building's overall health through the visual behavior of the people inside. How can they show emotion without using text or verbal language? How can the emotions be perceived at all zoom levels and across different mobile devices? As a user zooms out, people in the building load and unload different levels of detail to not only keep it visually clean, but to help the app run more efficiently as well.
